CM said the same thing in November regarding the holidays.
The company can not staff the flights they have. The VP of crew sked has repeatedly said he does not want to give any relief the pilots picking up open time . IMO he has been and will be the problem for the next melt down. CPs and SWAPA have advised him that giving a pilot JA/ reroute protection would open the door to more pilots picking up .
I cannot tell you how many times I have heard that a CP advised a pilot to just not pick up .
