there is a standing disclaimer on all of these questions that get asked. What happened in the past is not necessarily a predictor of the future.
when I got hired, Newark 737 was THE place to go for seniority progression (so I was told). Fast forward a few months, and EWR came to a screeching halt for exactly the reason you said (plus, there was nowhere left to grow it).
I went up 30% by bidding over to IAH. What does the future hold? Who the heck knows. Maybe it’ll actually hold a contract!
