Well I'm sure this post was trolling, but nobody pointed out that pilots only get paid when the "plabe" is moving. That includes not paid for preflight, post flight, delays, etc.
So if you divide the 96 hours a pilot is gone on a 4 day trip by the optimistic 5 flight hours a day, it comes out to about $19 an hour if they're making $90/flight hour.
