By this logic the pilot payroll alone over the next 4 years will account for about $12-14B. That doesn’t really make sense to me. Serious question.
Pretty sure.....like I said the media does a horrible job of explaining it. I think this explains why we weren't seeing eye to eye.
I can't quote anything right now but humor me this example
Delta 7B over 4 years is 1.75B per year. With 15,500 pilots, that would be about $113,000 per pilot.. Since the starting pay is about that(113k) and more senior pilots are making 400K+ per year and we haven't costed in medical and DC or all the other ancillary costs, I can only deduce that the 7B is the incremental cost.
