I just did your survey… do you want us to move backwards in our profession. Raising the retirement age just “kicks the can” down the road and possibly discourages people from entering the profession.
Relaxing the 117 rules, did you fly under the old rules? 8hrs of rest, no behind the door requirement? Reduced rest overnights and compensatory rest?
I always remember day1/2 being 8-10hrs of rest, day 3 being reduced and the compensatory rest was your off day. Don’t forget that your rest started at 15 minutes after block in and ended at show time. Take the reduced overnight, it could be a 30-60 after block in to getting to the hotel, then relaxing to fall asleep, then getting up for your van to the airport. You were lucky if you got 4 hours of sleep. Then you fly 3 or more legs. No way, leave that in the past.
