That's how inefficient and poor our scheduling practices are here. Which also means we have such a high hurdle to leap over, we most likely won't see a contract for a long time.
Let's bring the drama down a tad, shall we? Definite "a long time"? 4 months? 6 months? 8 months? 12 months? Now put that in the context of a 35+ year career. It's overdue, but SWA pilots seem pretty ****ed about their contract being overdue too.
If you're the type that believes the grass is greener on the other side of the fence you're going to be excited when you have an ILC for a few months, then be super miserable for the next 4 years when brand X outbids you. Picking a company based off of one contract or one CEO when you're going to see half a dozen of each doesn't seem the best strategy IMO, but your viewpoint may be different.
