Not being racist or condescending to the kids who don’t have the luxury of paying cash for flight training or needing extra assistance, but I think this is what is happening.

I don’t disagree with what you’re saying about the company using it as a recruiting tool, but as a minority, there are a lot of upper middle class black people and poor white people in the country or hoods out there. So it’s not always the black kid from the hood that the company is getting.

I would argue that most black pilots had a decent background or military background. I know there are some who truly had rags to riches stories, but the point is that I think it’s ignorant to assume that black pilots are coming from the hood.
