Although DEI is seemingly about equity and inclusion, there is zero effort to include solely by social status/wealth. DEI is about about pushing the oppressed forward. It started with the traditional groups: color and gender, and now has expanded to less traditional groups, mostly concerning gender/attraction/self-identification. The movement will never be there to support poor white kids from W-Virginia. And maybe that is because they aren't their target audience because they tend to vote against the party that promotes DEI. I think we can all agree there was racism/misogyny in the past. And we can all disagree on how to move forward from there......
