One caveat about our red/green is that yes 75% must be green but that is only prior to initial open time. So some of those "green" days may only be green by one extra reserve. So often someone super senior and or someone senior to you drops a trip covering that day then it goes red. So that wonderful 75% may only help a few senior pilots out of hundreds in base. I hear ya. I just keep getting whiplash between the NK guys that says it's Nirvana, perfection, a mysterious mystery wrapped in an enigma where no one works, everyone drops anything and everything, the trips that get flown are 150-200% and everyone has every weekend, holiday off and only work every third Tuesday, for premium. And then some say something more realistic. Occasionally.
Even with the limitations you state, the Green Grid rules are MUCH better than current Blue book with respect to the grids.
