Even with the limitations you state, the Green Grid rules are MUCH better than current Blue book with respect to the grids.
Hyperbole is gonna hyperbolate. I’ve never seen a single post that makes such outlandish claims. I have however seen dozens from current and past NK pilots who have praised the flexibility here, including those who have moved on to legacies. “But how many pilots have left Delta for Spirit?” Zero. But not many more are going to leave for a combined NK/B6 either, even with pay parity, especially if our work rules match theirs. We have a unique opportunity to preserve schedule flexibility while still demanding legacy tier pay since that is the stated peer group B6 intends to keep.

Make no mistake, it wasn’t drop to zero proponents who lead the charge for yes votes on the last contract, it was fear mongers. It was short timers who don’t see a life much past the merger. It was one year plus guys who wanted a raise while they build time to legacy mins. It was a union NC who basically campaigned on behalf of management analysts.

31% of us were ready to call BS. I suspect a large number of the other 69% realize now they got duped, because I sure don’t seem to fly with many proud yes voters.

There are defining moments in one’s career, and when this merger goes down and our joint NC tries to ram a first but wholly unacceptable offer down our throats, I hope we can all put aside this BS and kick it right back. I want to get paid and keep my lifestyle intact.
