Yes 100% , everything is better living in base as a line holder or reserve. Issues like being converted to short call and field standby are felt less living in base. I live in base on the widebody and can sit reserve and make same as my line on the narrowbody, most likely with more days off and much better qol flying wise. The uncertainty of reserve sucks, as does rolling into days off with no compensation but I like it. Holding a line financially isn’t worth it to me at my seniority. So reserve rules in new contract is very important to me as a lifer on reserve ha.
