Also, I'll ask why you seem to need to be sarcastic and snarky to people online. Cute? Proud of me? What do these two comments mean other than to be a Richard? Why are you "Proud" that I have only been flown into a day off twice in my decade here? "I'll be senior someday dad?" Just another sarcastic, snarky comment.
Moving on, pilots being snared to fly into a day off happens across the ENTIRE narrowbody seniority spectrum, not just the junior folks. Not only that, but if you want to take seniority into it, you DO realize that RELATIVE seniority is the operative term here and junior captains get the exact same lousy schedules and treatment as their junior FO counterparts. With ten years here, my relative seniority in my narrowbody bid status is about 65% overall and only 94% of lineholders. Unless you are in a very senior base, I'm guessing you enjoy better relative seniority in status than I do. Most of the FO's I fly with are probabtionary and yet they are rocketing up the FO bid status. Many (most?) of these probabtionary FO's I fly with enjoy better relative seniority than I do, which of course translates to potentially better Quality of Life.
When I was a Reserve pilot up until maybe two months ago when I finally gave up on that, it got to the point where ALL of us flew pretty much every day we were available; seniority or the amount of credit we may have had didn't seem to matter at all. It sucked for all of us, senior and junior.
Read the comments from most of the folks here. Most have said they've only been flown into a day off maybe one, two, or three times. Those are comments from people all over the seniority spectrum. A few, like you, have said they've been flown into days off much more frequently, which clearly sucks. Big time. But it seems you folks may be in the minority. It's not a common thing, even though you want to make it appear that it is.
Anyway, please try to refrain from the sarcasm. It should not be necessary.
Why do you even respond to him? He's a whiner. Let him **** himself out with all the crying.
