The stews that are here mid career will vote no. The older crowd on the ROAD program and the younger crowd will vote yes. Personally, I could care less what another work group gets or doesn't get. Cleaners weren't even in their ask. They, quite simply, don't care and their union is awful.
They get what they ask for. I talked with a couple on the bus a little while ago about their negotiation progress. Both claimed the union was asking too much from the company and that's why it was taking so long. "I've been here 20+ years and we've always gotten 6 or 7% every cycle. I heard we're asking for 30%, which is just crazy. The company will never give us that, and if they did it would bankrupt the operation".
They did both mention they wished they had unity more like the pilots...but it didn't take more than a bus ride from the employee lot to make it apparent that they're certainly a completely different labor group.
