UAL guy with a question for y’all. Our “global” fleets have reserve rules that basically allow you to be flown any day of the month except your HDOs (holy days off). You get six of those all in one block. Our other days off we can be “rolled”. So let’s say you have one day of reserve left tomorrow. They could call you and assign you a trip for that day that could be literally any length, and you have to have your days off rolled to the end of that trip. You still have to get the same number of total days off in a month (unless they do it at the end of the month!) and you get no say in what days off you receive, or any extra pay. It’s horrible.
My question is, do you have anything remotely similar? Can your days off be ****ed with in such a fashion? Thanks in advance.
They can move your non-golden days, as we call them, but they are much lower on the coverage ladder. As long as there are reserve pilots who could fly a trip in OT, your off days will not be touched.
