Exactly what happened to me however I know a few guys in my class that had to wait a few days for the call, 1 waited a week.
Usually the hiring team knows if they're going to extend an offer prior to the candidates leaving the building, but occasionally there are candidates who they're on the fence about who need further consideration or follow ups on their resume, work history, etc. That explains the delay for some candidates.
