If my understanding of the CBA is correct, because they just waived seat locks on the 650 on the last bid they are now allowed to place new hires into that fleet as their initial fleet assignment. I have no idea how long they are allowed to do that post the waived seatlock award as the contract does not seem to specify. There is a relatively large class worth of fleet assignments dropping this Friday, so we will have to see what happens.

Up until that happens, yes there are junior pilots ending up in the 650 and Globals. Some have ended up being junior manned into those fleets, but that can only happen after completing your probationary year (1+ years on property). The most recent award waived seat locks allowing probationary pilots (sub-1 year on property) to be awarded the 650.
