And I'm still waiting with bated breath for you to tell us about the last time you had to make a split second life or death decision as a pilot.

You are wasting your time here railing against an age change. The vast majority of readers agree with you that it should stay at 65. But this is an echo chamber where the people that matter are not hearing your opinion.
Spend your time mobilizing a bunch of pilots to do an email/letter writing campaign to all of the Senate and Congress.
I'm sure you'll get a sympathetic ear from many of the Septuagenarian and Octogenarian elected officials. /s
