As a regional pilot, I used to say “My low wages and terrible work rules subsidize your over inflated salaries and feather bedding work rules.”

Absolutes are for teenagers, fools, and mid-wits.
If you’re on Delta’s property for 20 years under the current contract, there’s no reason you can’t retire comfortably…..unless you F it up. Who cares if some old farts work two more years?
Personally, I pity them, if they preserve because they must.
(Addressing the specific complaint “My captain will drop dead”. Who cares? You’re qualified and type rated in that scenario. There’s an excellent chance there are multiple qualified pilots in the back of the plane if you can’t handle that scenario on your lonesome.)
