We have ALL aknowledged there are problems with this industry. Personally I would put up with some ( not all ) of the crap rather than deal with being a nurse. Its not all pie in the sky "helping" people.... its vomit, bed pans.... etc.... My MOM-in-law is a 26 year verteran of working in SICU's and she will tell you its not all pretty...... you WILL do stuff that is disgusting...

So.....lets just all agree to disagree about much of this.... there will always be people to do all of these jobs... and NO.. there is NO amount of money to make me clean somebodys vomit or crap when they cant hold it... NONE.
Yes, no profession is immune from BS. Its just that most get adequate compensation for their BS while others take it on for free.

If you did not have a well employed spouse and had to support your family on what you bring in as a pilot then you most likely would not be flying right now. You and I are at an age when we need a real job and to make real money.

Anyone who throws away the dollars to become a pilot needs to make real money in order to justify the investment. At least a doctor can say that they are "just barely afloat" as you mentioned. Most Pilots are getting use to taking a loss.
