The reason QOL items won't ever be in favor of the masses... the senior guys had to go thru ****, so now you do too. I say that a mid seniority guy.
So why are we holding out for "QOL" items? If we actually get them, it will probably be voted down here at United, because the Sr will be mad we didn't convert those QOL items to $$.
One item I would mention is a bit of a flaw with your suggestions is line bidding vs pbs. Pbs takes vacations and makes them equal across the seniority list. Equal credit for everyone. Applying vac to line bids hurts the jr more than just about any provision. 6 pilots all have the same vacation. The most jr is going to get the least credit assuming everyone bids to drop the most credit. The rest of your points about line bidding are mostly valid but I point this out because almost all language has some downside. Also, when you say you deserve something, you’re losing me. It would be better to say I’ve earned that. I keep seeing that phrase from pilots and it’s not helpful. We’ve earned that over the last few years since the amendable date is better imo. It also helps to capture the max retro argument.
