Age 67 will pass because that’s the most money going to politicians, not that I agree with it.
I started my career late and as I approach the end I’ve been on the back side of the seniority wave for most of it and as a result I’ve missed out on the best seats at the airlines I desired most.
That said, working our way up in seniority is a goal to shoot for and worth the walking the path to get there.
The FTYD group knew the last day would come, and now that it’s here and someone else gets to enjoy the fruits of seniority, they want to change the rules.
It’s all just greed and selfishness, trying to paint a picture of unfairness because the dynamics have changed and newer pilots don’t have the same dues to pay.
btw, if they do change it I’m going to 55 and eight months just to get the last years PS and what few retirement benefits we have.
