Just as long as you have a CFI sign it off, it is legit. But I have been told that getting a CFI that you have not flown with to sign you off...is kinda shady...

But just as long as they review it with you and know that YOU know what's going on...go for it. Make sure that the ground instruction (review of your flight plan) is logged and signed by THAT CFI that checked you out.
