First off thank you for serving, I have lots of close relatives that served as well as some that were lost.
It is repugnant to me that we make a point of acknowledging everything except a very American holiday. This is one
of the few things that should bring us all together.
Yes underrepresented groups need tolerance, respect and acceptance.

But to claim inclusion then ignore Memorial Day (the literal reason for freedom) or Independence Day seems tone deaf.
