TL;DR
If you worked for a seniority based airline that'd been around for more than a handful of years I've got news for you,
you benefited from pilots hitting mandatory retirement age. It doesn't matter what kind of mental gymnastics you want to engage in to pretend like you did not, it doesn't make it true.
