That is really dirty, and shady to try to fail someone, because you have too many pilots. They could simply lay you off. I would think the company wouldn't owe for unemployment, if a pilot was only there for a few months. A pilot's record is one of the most valuable things to them.
I agree. And if it’s really happening over petty stuff, it makes it look like they’re just trying to guarantee you can’t go anywhere else for a while.
