Every time you fly a leg (double transiting a base) there’s an opportunity for trouble.
This is patently false.
There are plenty of trips that are rough, almost none are built like this, and even with delays and reassignments few are flown like this.
There is incredible variety in NB flying, at least at EWR: Alaska, CONUS, Caribbean, Central America, Canada, Mexico, Northern South America, and probably Europe soon. 2-leg 2-days with 25 hours off, yep; 6-leg 4-days with 35 hours off, yep; and 2-leg 1-days that pay 9+ hours, yep. There’s crap on every fleet, WB included, NB has crap too but with 6-12 months seniority it’s pretty dam good.
