• the other legacies have atrocious reserve rules which cause upgrades to go unfilled
• AA has good reserve rules benefitting the junior by far the most
• ergo AA/APA doesn't care about junior pilots.

Where is this logic pipe that everyone is smoking?

AA reserve rules are fantastic, with the combo of no call out time and no requirement to live within a certain distance/time of your coverage airport. APA could've easily thrown the junior under the bus and gone to industry standard language but they did not, and yet people still **** on APA thinking they don't care about the junior.
