I've had several of those trips where you have a 4 day trip, with one day of zero flying or maybe a leg for 00:50 or something. Wouldn't the new contract require that trip to be paid out at 21:00? Where would the 2:30 come into play?
I say this because as a junior guy, I've had quite a few trips where there is extreme front or back end loading with a giant gap of sitting around in between.
I could be wrong but this is my understanding:
I have a 3 day trip coming up which has a 31 hour layover. The trip has 13:30 of block. Right now the trip is paying 15 hours. With the 5:15 it would pay 15:45. With the 2:30 minimum for that dead day added to the block it would bump that up to 16 hours
