where are you getting a year from? Those with 350 hrs in type at UA and meet 121 requirements will be able to upgrade while on probation.
Indoc plus initial qual/IOE is roughly three months. Assuming a line holder, another 4-6 months to get 350 hours in type at UAL before eligible for training. Another 3 months for long course CA upgrade and 100 hours OE.
Would give previous 121 guys 6 months or more head start over other new hires who need 1000 hours. Was the only provision that gave me pause initially, although I also want to see verbiage of SL limits of 95 hours.
