Interesting discussion here... Embraer technically does have the new E2 variant available for the 175 with those shiny new PW geared engines, but they sort of shot themselves in the foot by increasing the max weight to 98,000.
They had to because geared engines are much heavier then non-geared turbofans. To relize the economical gains you need to up the weights, nothing is free in aviation. The MRJ suffered the same problem, they tried to make the jet lighter for scope clause by reducing fuel and range (hard sell), it ultimately was shelved for numerouse technical and production issues.
