The short-term fix is what politics is all about... small communities are losing air service, pols must appear to be doing something, anything.
Isnt the allure of living in the sticks the lack of services. Giving people something they don’t even want or clearly need. If they needed it there would be demand. I’d there were sufficient demand airlines would serve it.
