pilot shortages are absolutely real. There’s a reason legacies are hiring 23yo FOs with 1900TT and zero PIC.
They obviously have pilots to hire, if the legacies are hiring them. I flew with guys at EA, hired with 190 hours and 250 hours. would you rather see legacy hires with 5000 TT, 2000 hours turbine PIC? Was hiring better when 60% were ex-military or civilians with thousands of turbine PIC in bizjets?
