Look at United… They’re a prime example of a labor organization in upheaval when their former Chairman Insler was ousted and they started cleaning house. And despite the chaos over there they STILL managed to blow the doors off with an awesome contract. How can anyone at AA look within your own labor organization and see anything redeeming? Kick APA to the curb and start the process of becoming industry-leading again.
I'm pretty impressed with the UAL folks. They did almost a complete recycle in 4-5 months, recalled how many reps, and after a burble or two, hit the ground running. I think that speaks pretty well of the internal ALPA processes.
