Pre-Delta. Was flying King Airs. Two piloted because the government contract required it. PIC had to be under 65. Cockpit age couldn't add up to more than 120.
I'm the PIC. Other guy isn't qualified. Aged out 121 Captain.
Unsafe approach. not going to land anywhere in the touchdown zone. Call for go-around. "NOPE".. What the **** you mean no? Go around (I add power, call my controls and go around.. We were gonna likely go off the runway) he had a horrible crosswind technique and we were near the max demonstrated crosswind and he was also completely ignorant of what redline is and what it means.
So while not taking the plane from the Captain, I took the plane from a guy who couldn't let go and accept he is no longer the captain. The whole flight he didn't do well not being in charge, and he had a reputation for that. Due to the cockpit age having to be under 120, he generally only flew with us younger guys.
