I can guarantee you that this vote was much closer than the actual pilot sentiment towards the TA. Don’t forget, there were also about 500 probationary pilots who didn’t get a vote and at the lowest seniority level we had about 78% voting NO. I have talked to several at various longevities who leaned NO for a long time before being scared into holding their nose and voting yes. No matter how you cut it, the MAJORITY of the crew force was not happy with what they were presented, so let’s stop pretending that some small fringe group spoiled this thing for everyone else. MOST OF US VOTED NO.
I didn’t say voting down the TA was throwing a temper tantrum. I was referring to Nordhavn’s focus on courage, fear and doom and gloom. And I also didn’t dispute the outcome of the vote. I did say I hoped the people who led the charge to vote it down have a plan to move forward. We’ll see if they do in the coming months. Like I said, I can wait.
