Over the whole pilot group the new language will pay far more often, but it is possible to have it pay less in a very specific scenario.
True, but as you said very rare. You’d have to get rerouted early in the day, and at least 14 hours later, fly a trip not on your rotation. That would be incredibly rare, maybe an early arrival, day layover then fly.
