There were folks who expressed valid concerns about the deficiencies in this contract and problems with the specific language that it contained but they were disregarded. Many were so convinced that a recession was right around the corner that they were willing to vote “yes” on almost anything as long as they got a pay raise of some type and their precious PBS. Stupid is as stupid does. In spite of all of this, I still hold a glimmer of hope that BM and ST will see the importance that compensation plays (among other things) in attracting and retaining pilots and will bump us up to industry standard Sept 1.
