I never vote on self interest, only total group interest. Otherwise a union can't function.
You are acting completely in your own self interest in that you want to keep your rapid rise up the seniority to keep going at that unprecedented speed.
You don't give a crap about your customers who have had flights delayed and cancelled due to pilot shortages. No, it's all about you and getting to be a lineholding WB ca before you're 50.
You're a completely selfish prick trying to hide your selfishness under the guise of safety, in spite of the safest time in aviation history occurring after the retirement age was changed to 65.
You're making the exact same argument that was made against 65. However, once the age changed to 65, it opened the door to further age increases. Well, the next (but not last) age increase to 67 is now upon us. Next stop 70.
And we can each bloviate to no end on this subject but none of this matters because the decision's already been made within the halls of Congress to increase retirement age. All that's left is a bit of turd polishing by those politicians who claim to oppose an age change. They're busy fixing punctuation and pointing blame at others for sneaking the age change into the Reauthorization Act.
