I am following the group think, problem is the group is yelling at the clouds. Just because the name of the amendment is called the experienced pilots act doesn’t mean it has anything to do with the name. It should really be called the politicians trying to fix something that they don’t have a clue about but we are going to do something so we can say we are looking out for our constituents so we can get re elected against bill!
Politicians don’t fix things, nor is that their primary concern. They simply give the illusion of solving problems until the vote is cast or the constituents forget. This is an easy vote for them (especially since it’s just a minor political issue in a much larger bill). They can be seen as taking steps to reduce flight cancellations and the dropping of service due to a lack of pilots. It doesn’t matter that it just kicks the can down the road for another 2 years since they can just “solve the problem” again.
