CAL has been researching this for quite a while, and personally, I think flying them internationally is much smarter business sense, whether to SJU, BDA, SXM, CCS, SJO, or possibly to Europe. The range is now long enough to support hops across the pond, and with ticket prices in the USA the way they are, making money in the USA is almost impossible. We can charge a premium for first class seats (upgrades are next to zero) and make money on freight. Think this has been a long time in coming since fuel is just getting too expensive to hop up and down all day domestically. I see we're pulling out of Midway too.
