For what it is worth as a younger FO who is making it a point to educate myself on these forums, the majority of Blue captains I fly with have zero clue what Spirits contract has other than it is "worse than ours"..... I think you are unfortunately correct. I doubt many of these older guys are going to go to bat for DTZ, or your better reserve grid rules or your better premium time system.
Fortunately it’s not up to those old farts to decide until a JCBA is presented to them. I hope the members of the JNC will educate themselves and each respective pilot group on the pros & cons of each respective CBA prior to doing any negotiation with the company.
