My thoughts exactly. Have to be able to see the symbology to fly it precisely. There’s been a few times I’ve seen landing right into the sun when even in the fog it’s difficult to see the HGS symbology because it’s washed out by the bright sunlight.
JetBlue’s E190s have dual HGS aboard and both sides have clip-on sunscreens (not to mention a dedicated space to store the sunscreen beneath the glare shield for easy access)
