But, you are at the point in your career where you probably won't be flying much. Not to mention the issues you brought up. Unless you are in for the long haul, staying past 20 and going for General/Admiral, leave now. The airlines are fun and if money is not a problem and you have a crash pad near Newark, life will be easy.
Ah, you haven't learned the art of becoming the passed over Major. It's a wonderful thing. You get some crappy jobs now and then but you still remain on flying status. With the new AMC rule that Mission Commanders have to be Majors or above, you'll enjoy a windfall of flying opportunities. At least, that's how it worked out for me.
