So as two fins are going away, what will happen to the crews? Will they transition to another type or will they stay? If they stay, I guess as a new hire one can forget about the triple for a while.
2 new Atlas owned 777s arrive this fall which will offset the loss of the first two DHL owned/leased airframes. The next two 777s to leave the DHL system are Atlas owned and are slated to fly for a new customer so no change in crewing. The next two DHL owned/leased 777s leave next summer assuming Air UK can crew them. As a result, there is no need for a staffing adjustment until then. Assuming the attrition continues at the same rate the company will continue to need to hire for the 777 and the other 3 fleets. However, I’m just a pilot with a broken, cloudy crystal ball.
