They'll get paid as a CA for 12 months out of the year - they can fly as a CA on job share and the new AIP has IE's at 320 CA pay when teaching.
The new PBS for IE's will be interesting - if all the junior IE's get stuck with 04:00 sims all month every month, there might be some turnover. The IE commuters don't pick up a significant amount of the 0400's.
I don’t believe this is the case for job shares. If so it’s pretty wrong that someone could bid against other FOs with their seniority but draw captain pay.
