I believe the CBA and conflict of interest policy prohibit accepting new employment without approval, which makes perfect sense. I am having trouble finding anything else related to that scenario. If it exists, I genuinely would like to be aware of it.

This does raise an important question, though. The new hire in this scenario doesn’t have access to the CBA or COI policy, so how are they supposed to know if the company doesn’t address it prior to their arrival?
