This does raise an important question, though. The new hire in this scenario doesn’t have access to the CBA or COI policy, so how are they supposed to know if the company doesn’t address it prior to their arrival?
I have no idea what information/signature forms attesting to things, that a new hire signs today. Nor can I remember what I did as a new hire either. I just know what the company policy is/has been.
