Leaves them looking at very limited acquisition opportunities, with marginal business cases. VX wasn't even that, purely a defensive move to keep B6 from locking in a big west coast presence. B6 actually would have been the ideal M&A partner, but hard to hash out which management team would survive.
I agree. VX acquisition wasn’t for real growth, obviously. The end product is proof. Been here decades and have seen enough of management’s tactics in every area, including their idea of growth. Ever since DAL tried to put a kabash on SEA, the Eskimo has been “trying” to be on the offensive. Unfortunately, they are a day late and a dollar short. Choice of even semi attractive dance partners are no where to be found. Only the fugly ones are left and even they are not really interested in the Eskimo. The big sharks are hungry for this small tasty fish but the killer whale hasn’t given the nod. Interesting times ahead.
