Is there any way to even know what the actual pass rate is? I can’t imagine a situation where the company wants to wash a certain percentage, but there will always be those who show up unprepared or butcher the interview. Those people should be cut.

Having only talked to a few people that are involved in pilot interviews, I don’t have a big sample, but their message is consistent. The biggest thing is people showing up who are not prepared. Paperwork isn’t in order and obvious lack of preparation for the interview questions and overall process. The information is out there. Either pay a service for coaching or find the information on your own, but show up ready to answer any possible question, show them that you take the interview seriously, and that you have prepared and genuinely want the job.
