There is is exactly one trip in open time on the 30th, which is a 4 day that reports at 0905, and I’m the only pilot in category with exactly 4 days of availability (there are a few more pilots in the 4 day group but all have 5+ days of availability). Would this trip be a legal assignment? Or would 1000 be the earliest report time they could give me since I’m coming from a hard day off?

Your earliest report time would be 1625 (your reserve start time plus 10 hours) so no not legal.

You can be made to report as early as 10 hours after the start of LC as long as the assignment is made no later than 12 hours before the start of LC (so report as early as 1626 if it is assigned by 1826 the day prior). If no assignment by 12 hours prior then the earliest you can report is 18 hours after the start of LC, so 0026 the following day in your case.

This is the
BEST explanation of partial reserve days I've seen! Any time a trip interrupts an off day, you need to see when your
next 'On call' period begins. Once you have that information, you can do the math for the "10-hours after start" as long as it's on your schedule no later than 12-hour before the start. Otherwise it's 18-hours.
